With over 20 years of experience teaching Geography at GCSE and A level in the UK, and more than 10 years’ experience as an external GCSE Geography examiner, I bring extensive classroom, examination and assessment expertise to every lesson. My lessons are structured around progress and mastery. I revisit areas where necessary, challenge misconceptions and provide targeted practice until students become confident and secure in the essential skills required for both school assessments and external examinations. What I can support students with • GCSE and A-level Geography • Knowledge and understanding of geographical concepts and processes • Examination technique and question interpretation • Developing high-quality extended responses • Improving application, analysis and evaluation • Geographical skills, including data interpretation and map skills • Identifying and addressing gaps in knowledge • Building confidence and independent learning skills • Revision and examination preparation • Coursework and fieldwork support • Preparation for geographical fieldwork and enquiry Flexible Online and Face-to-Face Tuition Lessons can be delivered online using Zoom or another suitable platform, allowing students to receive high-quality tuition wherever they are based. Where appropriate, I can also support students with outdoor geographical fieldwork, and I am open to face-to-face tutoring and travel arrangements where this meets the student's needs. My aim is simple: to understand where each student is now, identify what they need to improve, and provide the targeted teaching, practice and feedback needed to help them make sustained progress and reach their full potential in Geography.
