Sra. Aida Loughran

Hola, I am Sra. Aida. I was originally trained as a journalist in Panama, and I bring over 14 years of international teaching experience across diverse cultural and educational settings: the UK, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and the UAE.

I am passionate about education and committed to creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate and grow. I’ve spent 12 years working as an IB examiner, which has given me a strong understanding of how students are assessed and what examiners are really looking for. Through this experience, I’ve become very familiar with marking criteria, student expectations, and performance standards in the IB program.

This means I can support students effectively in their exam preparation, helping them approach assessments with confidence and clarity. At the same time, I focus on building deep understanding through inquiry-based learning and skill development—so students don’t just memorise content, but truly understand and apply what they learn.
