Hi, I’m Soumya Yousuf Sahib, a QTS-qualified Biology teacher with a degree in Zoology and a Master’s in Education. I teach GCSE and A-Level Biology by making the “why” behind topics like DNA, ecology, and animal physiology actually make sense, not just memorise facts. My lessons combine specialist subject depth with exam technique so students go in confident and come out with Grade 7-9 or A/B grades. I teach online across the UK and offer a free first lesson so we can check if we’re a good match.

My Zoology degree gives me strong expertise in animal physiology, evolution, ecology, and human biology, while my MEd informs how I structure lessons using retrieval practice, cognitive load theory, and targeted exam technique. I am experienced teaching GCSE 9-1 Triple/Combined Science and A-Level Biology across AQA, OCR, and Edexcel exam boards, focusing on required practicals, 6-mark questions, and synoptic links to help students achieve Grade 7-9 and A/B grades.
