Sophina Corry

I am a full time student at the University of Sheffield, currently studying MA English Literature and holding a BA in Philosophy.
I have a Teach English as a Foreign Language Level 5 qualification as of December of 2023 and I am looking to help others achieve proficiency in English and achieve their personal goals regarding accuracy and fluency.
My teaching style is adaptable to each individuals needs and based on the TEFL guidance codes provided in my teacher training. (Usually following the PPP model of presentation, practice, and production to introduce students to new vocabulary and grammar skills and give them real life experience in replicating it with a native English speaker).
We will talk in English through the entirety of our lesson time together in order to give you the maximum amount of practice possible to build your confidence and fluency so that you advance quickly over the course of our sessions. I will also provide critical corrections to any mistakes made and constructive advise on how to avoid them in the future so that students are receiving the maximum support tailored to their specific needs.
If there are any particular areas of conversation you would like to practice or particular areas of insecurity regarding your English application, I will be happy to tailor our lessons to accommodate these requests.
