Sophie Scutt

Experience teaching at University level in environmental Science, I have a PhD in civil engineering and a first class degree in Biology. More recently enjoyed being a full time teacher of A-Level Biology at a high performing sixth form college (AQA spec specifically but knowledgeable across exam boards).

Passionate about science and education I aim to help students by using easy to follow powerpoints, fun creative activities, and encourag emy students to ask lots of questions. Working together is best- each student is unique with different needs and i can tailor services based on your requirements.

I am warm and friendly, and enjoy building a rapport with each student. Building a good student-teacher relationship is key!

I also have experience in thesis/report writing, exam marking, and experimental design, and am alway happy to chat to students about my experience so far in the world of academia and science!
