My career history is extensive and includes teaching, journalism and editing, support work, and youth advocacy.
I've been teaching English online for 14 years and in that time I've successfully worked with many teenagers and young adults to help them improve their study skills, achieve their learning goals and pass their exams.
I have a first class degree in Journalism and over a decade of experience in writing, editing, blogging and proofreading.
I'm also a qualified youth advocate and support worker, so I can provide mental and emotional support and signpost where necessary, should you require any additional help outside our sessions. Autistic students, or those with any special educational needs are catered for; I have 5+ years experience working with neurodiverse young adults, as well as care leavers who might need extra support.
My methodology is 100% person-centred, so in the first session we will discuss what you need help with and design a personalised plan, just for you! Every individual is unique, so that's how I approach my coaching sessions. What works for someone else may not work for you, so I like to spend the first session getting to know you as well as possible. This will also include assessing your learning style.
