Sophie Hearn

I have obtained an 8/A* in GCSE English Literature, an 8/A* in GCSE English Language, and a B in A-Level English Literature. I completed one year of a Primary Education Ba Hons at University, where I created many lesson plans and carried those out whilst on placement in a Primary School. I did not carry on the degree any further, as I went on Maternity Leave, but I want to do so in future. I like to use previous skills and knowledge and build upon this for each lesson plan, to make sure that something new can be learnt, and if something needs further work on then it won’t be forgotten about. I like to make sure that I combine fun and learning to create an engaging lesson, that students look forward to joining in with. I take on board any worries or questions and make sure to address each need. We will have different types of lessons, where the student may sometimes be writing, sometimes be speaking, or drawing, and so on. I have loved all of my experience of helping each child to learn something new, and it fills me with happiness when they have learnt something that I have taught them. I am there for support as well as teaching, and I will make sure that the student progresses well and is happy.
