Sophie Guerineau

I am an experienced Mathematics teacher and tutor with over 20 years’ experience teaching in schools, over 20 years’ experience as a Pearson Edexcel examiner, and a first-class degree in Mathematics.
I specialise in A-level and GCSE Mathematics, particularly Edexcel.
My lessons are active, supportive and collaborative. Students do not simply watch me solve questions — we discuss ideas, try different approaches and work through the Mathematics together. I focus on genuine understanding, problem-solving and helping students become more confident and independent.
My examining experience also means I can help students understand how marks are awarded, where marks are commonly lost and how to present their working clearly and effectively.
Most lessons take place online, with in-person tuition available by arrangement. The first lesson is free, with no obligation to continue.
