Sophie Dixon

I have experience in joining younger year maths classes and individually helping students during lessons. I am call based, where I will also be sharing my screen to students or I can be In person if in Leigh/chalkwell/hadleigh area. I will help students focus on specific topics they are struggling with and help to build their confidence. My lessons will consist of content based learning and then move onto exam questions so that the students understand the mark schemes and how to lay out their answers. I can assure that they will feel ready to sit their GCSE paper and get the grade they are hoping for. I am a very bubbly person who is hardworking and driven, so I will always encourage my students to find their potential and hope they can develop their mathematics skills. Since I’ve been doing A level maths and further maths, I’ve got a better understanding of how solutions occur in maths and I can be very creative with my ways of finding answers. I achieve A* in all my a level maths test and further maths has really pushed me to develop in maths and it has really helped with my skill of problem solving. I want the lessons to feel comfortable and welcoming, and want the students to get the most out of them. I am very excited to privately tutor as I’ve always wanted to help students understand maths on a wider level and I really want to see them grow with their knowledge.
