Lesson structure varies depending on you and what you want to get out of it, but sessions will almost always begin with a fun warm-up to help you loosen up and get into a creative headspace.

I'll then introduce the technique and inspiration behind the session, talking you through the process. This could be anything from drawing fundamentals, collage, abstract painting and much more, most often drawing on a range of artist styles. The aim isn't to have you replicate something - it's to build your understanding and give you tools you can adapt and use in your own way.

From there, I'll support you as you create something that's genuinely yours - helping you make decisions along the way, and offering feedback and encouragement to grow both your skills and your confidence. However the session unfolds, the goal is always the same: that you leave feeling a little more capable, a little more curious, and like you've had a genuinely enjoyable time creating.

For most people, I would recommend an hour session to start with, but many in the long term prefer a 90 minute or 2 hour session, especially if they’re wanting to explore painting or other processes which benefit from a longer window.
