I am a qualified and experienced secondary languages teacher and former pastoral leader. I have five years of classroom experience, a first-class degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification with distinction. I have taught Spanish and French across KS3, GCSE and A level, including establishing and delivering a new A-level Spanish course. I also have experience teaching Italian.

I offer personalised Spanish, French, Italian and English tuition, alongside study skills and academic coaching. My lessons are suitable for primary and secondary pupils, sixth-form and university students, adult learners and complete beginners.

Lessons usually last 60 minutes and can take place online or in person. At the beginning, we will discuss your current level, strengths, learning needs and goals. I will then tailor the content, pace and activities to you, rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme.

Language lessons combine clear vocabulary and grammar explanations with active recall, structured conversation and varied listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation activities. I use authentic materials and real-life topics wherever appropriate, helping learners develop practical communication skills as well as a strong understanding of the language.

For GCSE and A-level students, I provide specification-focused teaching, examination-style questions, model answers, revision strategies and detailed feedback. Study-skills sessions can cover organisation, time management, revision techniques, essay planning and academic confidence.

My approach is friendly, patient and encouraging. I aim to create a supportive environment in which learners feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and recognising their progress.
