I am Ogechukwu Esther Offor, a native Igbo teacher from Obeledu in Anambra State Nigeria with real classroom experience teaching in a school. I currently based in Maputo Mozambique
I taught Igbo language in a school where I worked with children of different ages, helping them to read, write, speak and understand Igbo correctly. This school experience taught me patience, how to manage children, and how to make lessons fun and easy to understand, even for children who have never spoken Igbo before.
Now I teach Igbo online to children and adults in the diaspora, especially Nigerian families in the UK who want their children to speak Igbo at home, greet elders properly, and connect with their culture and grandparents.
My lessons are interactive and child-friendly. I use school methods that work: songs, stories, pictures, repetition, and daily conversation practice. For young children and twins, I keep both children engaged with turn-taking and fun activities so no child is left behind.
What I teach:
- Igbo alphabet, pronunciation and tones
- Greetings, respect and daily conversation
- Numbers, colors, family, food and home vocabulary
- Igbo songs and proverbs
- Reading, writing and cultural values
- Homework and simple practice for parents
I am fluent in Igbo (native) and English, and I teach via Zoom/Google Meet with flexible time to match UK time. I am kind, patient and experienced from classroom teaching.
My goal is to help your children be proud to be Igbo and confident to speak Igbo. Ka anyi muta Igbo~ Let us learn Igbo together! Book a trial lesson today. Daalu
