Sophia Sexton

I previously worked as a tutor in my high school and taught English writing and reading as well as history and grade 1 to 6 sciences. On top of that, I also did. Ringe and mentoring outside of my school through a company called big Brother, big sisters where I worked with a variety of kids both for tutoring and just as a mentor. I like to keep lesson short and engaging using repetitive practice through fun ways of learning like games. I also like to give little breaks when needed. I am easy going and happy to pivot when things aren’t working with a student, although I like to encourage them to keep going before we change it up. It is important to me that I am truly helping the child to better understand material and concepts. I am friendly and talkative and enjoy working with kids. I will make sure to get lots of positive feedback as well as criticism when needed and will thoroughly help to make sure child’s understanding is where it needs to be.
