My teaching approach is interactive, student-centered, and grounded in practical application. I design lessons that blend clear explanation with discussion, guided activities, and real-world examples to ensure that learning is both meaningful and engaging. Drawing on several years of experience teaching social sciences and project management, I structure each class to promote active participation, critical thinking, and applied understanding.
Typically, I begin with key concepts to provide a solid theoretical foundation before moving into illustrative examples, case discussions, and reflective or problem-solving exercises. This layered approach allows students to connect abstract ideas with contemporary social issues, community development, and their own professional practice. I believe that learning becomes most effective when learners are encouraged to analyze, question, and contextualize.
My teaching experience includes modules such as Population Studies, Mortality and Morbidity, Migration and Development, Urbanization and Development, Population and Environment, the Gross National Happiness paradigm, Project Design and Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Agile Project Management, and Foundations of Project Management. I have also served as an assistant lecturer (In one of the oldest and reputable colleges under Royal University of Bhutan), facilitator, resource person, and module developer, roles that have strengthened my adaptability to diverse learning goals and contexts.
Ultimately, I aim to create an inclusive classroom environment that empowers students to explore ideas confidently, collaborate meaningfully, and apply their learning to real-world challenges. My goal is to inspire curiosity, foster analytical depth, wisdom, and nurture lifelong learners prepared to contribute thoughtfully to society and at large, world in general.
