My lessons are interactive, engaging and tailored to each student’s needs. I like to begin by understanding what the student already knows and identifying the areas where they need support. I then explain concepts in a simple, step-by-step way, followed by worked examples and practice questions to make sure they are confident before moving on.

Having recently taught Year 7 students Mathematics through Action Tutoring at Liberty Academy, I understand that students can sometimes have the ability to do the work but struggle with focus or motivation, so I aim to make lessons conversational and engaging rather than simply going through a textbook.

For online lessons, I use a mix of explanation, questioning, practice and discussion. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and improving. I want students to leave each lesson feeling that they have genuinely understood something new and are more confident than when they started.
