Lessons are designed to be clear, structured, and focused on helping students feel confident with their studies. For KS3 and GCSE Biology and Chemistry, each session follows a simple format: a short explanation of key ideas, worked examples, and then guided practice. This helps students understand the topic step by step and apply what they learn straight away.

Content is based on the UK curriculum, including exam-style questions to build familiarity with GCSE expectations. Difficult topics are broken down into smaller parts, using simple language and real-life examples so they are easier to understand. There is also support with revision techniques, exam strategy, and how to answer longer questions clearly.

Lessons can be adapted depending on the student’s needs. Extra time can be spent on weaker areas, or sessions can be used to get ahead of school topics. Preparation is done in advance to make sure each lesson is organised and useful.

Experience includes working with Ukrainian students in English schools, so there is an understanding of the challenges faced when learning science in a second language. Support is available in English, as well as for Ukrainian and Russian speakers. Language learning is also offered, including English for Ukrainian/Russian speakers and Ukrainian or Russian for English speakers.

The goal of each lesson is to make learning straightforward, reduce confusion, and help students improve their confidence and results over time.
