I am a friendly and dedicated English tutor with experience supporting both primary school and GCSE students in developing their confidence and ability in English. I aim to create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs so they can improve their reading, writing, grammar, and overall communication skills while also achieving strong academic results. My lessons are structured but flexible depending on the student’s level and learning style. At the beginning, I like to understand the student’s strengths, areas for improvement, and goals so I can plan lessons that are most helpful for them. For primary school students, I focus on building strong foundations in literacy, including reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and creative writing through interactive activities that keep them motivated and interested. For GCSE students, I focus more on exam preparation and higher-level skills such as essay writing, analysing texts, structuring strong arguments, and improving vocabulary. I also help students develop effective exam techniques, including how to plan answers, manage their time during exams, and understand what examiners are looking for in high-mark responses. I always aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from their mistakes, as building confidence is an important part of improving academically. Having achieved strong results in English myself and gained experience tutoring students at different levels, I understand how to explain challenging topics in a clear and simple way. My goal is to support students in strengthening their English skills, building their confidence, and helping them reach their full potential.
