Prior to each lesson, I would ask your child what they would like to focus on. From there, I will design a lesson aiming at that specific topic that they are struggling with. It would begin with the student learning the basics of the topic, and then I would carry out a few questions myself before I ask the child to complete a set of questions themselves to check for their understanding. From there, I will build the lesson up to further encourage progression in their understanding. To end the session, I would give your child a set of questions to complete as homework, which would be due upon our next session. Within each session, the lessons would be personally catered for each individual student to boost their confidence in maths. If a child is struggling to progress, I will try my best to acknowledge why and redesign lessons to help your child perfect the topic, allowing them to progress.
