My Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, course requirements, and individual way of learning. I begin by identifying what the assessment or project is asking for (whether that’s improving grades, developing a portfolio, or strengthening practical skills) and build sessions around clear, achievable outcomes.
Lessons are typically 1:1 and combine practical making, discussion, and structured feedback. Depending on the student, we may focus on sketchbook and portfolio development, idea generation, understanding assessment criteria, or improving technical skills in areas such as sculpture, 3D making, and mixed media.
I use a step-by-step approach to break down complex tasks into manageable stages, helping students who feel stuck or overwhelmed to move forward with confidence. My teaching is highly visual and hands-on, supporting learners to better understand both process and outcomes.
I have experience supporting neurodiverse learners and adapt my approach to suit different learning styles. I prioritise creating a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing ideas, and building independence.
Each session includes clear, constructive feedback and short-term goals, so progress is visible and consistent over time. My aim is not only to improve grades and outcomes, but to help students develop confidence in their creative thinking and practical abilities.
I support GCSE, A-Level, Foundation, and portfolio preparation for university applications.
