Simon Mpho Nthoesane

I am a passionate educator with over 12 years of experience teaching Mathematics, dedicated to helping students build confidence and excel in their studies. Throughout my teaching career, I have supported learners across Key Stages 2, 3, and 4, as well as GCSE (AQA, OCR, Edexcel), AS Level, and A Level Mathematics at GoStudent. Beyond classroom instruction and private tutoring, I extend my impact by authoring mathematics books and developing educational apps designed to make complex concepts clear, engaging, and accessible.

My teaching practice is deeply informed by educational psychology, allowing me to understand how individual learners process information and tailor my approach to their unique learning styles. I have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent learners, including students with ADHD and dyslexia, and I adapt strategies to foster an inclusive, structured, and encouraging environment. Having worked with a diverse range of international students, I often communicate with learners in their home languages to build trust, bridge cultural gaps, and ensure complex concepts are fully understood.

Driven by a strong belief in lifelong learning and effective communication, my work spans multiple disciplines. In addition to tutoring mathematics, I serve as an Air Traffic Service Officer—where precision, analytical thinking, and high-stakes problem-solving are paramount—and perform as a musician, blending technical expertise with creative passion.

By taking abstract concepts, patterns, and complex equations, I translate them into practical solutions for modern problems.
