Primarily learning on free desktop GIS, but venturing into webGIS and beyond, learning the power of location will open your opportunities in doing more with maps and data.

Whatever your skill level, or reason for learning GIS learning will be based around your needs and requirements.

Learning by PowerPoint is not my style . Learning will be fun and interactive, from learning the basics of GIS through pen and paper, to learning advanced geoprocessing tasks using actually GIS software.

Each session will be focused on a key GIS theme, with learning based on real world examples where possible. Participants will have the opportunity to take a lead in the direction of learning based on their potential interests in why they are learning about GIS.

Most sessions will be practical, with data and instructions provided so that self paced learning can still be continued after the session.
