I am an aspiring accountant with a strong passion for Maths and helping younger students grow in confidence and ability. I have always enjoyed working with numbers and problem-solving, which is one of the main reasons I want to teach Maths to primary school children. I believe learning should feel encouraging, engaging and enjoyable so students can develop a positive attitude towards Maths from a young age.
I excelled in my SATs during primary school and achieved a Grade 5 in GCSE Higher Maths. Alongside my own studies, I have spent years helping tutor my younger brothers in maths, supporting them with homework, revision and understanding difficult topics. This has helped me develop patience, communication skills and the ability to explain questions clearly in different ways.
My teaching style focuses on building strong understanding through calm, supportive, step-by-step learning. I use techniques such as flashcards, practice questions, mini quizzes after completing a topic and past paper-style questions to help students remember and apply what they have learned. I also believe repetition and working through methods slowly can help children feel more confident and less overwhelmed when learning new topics.
My lessons are designed for primary school students who want extra support, improved confidence or help preparing for school assessments and SATs.
