Shreyan Rawal

Hello! I’m Shreyan, a Computing and Artificial Intelligence graduate with a strong interest in programming, technology, and helping students develop the confidence to solve problems independently.

I offer online programming lessons for beginners, school students, and learners who want to build a strong foundation in coding. My main focus is Python and general programming, including programming fundamentals, logic, algorithms, problem-solving, functions, data structures, debugging, and building practical projects. I can also help students who are learning JavaScript or want to understand how programming concepts transfer between different languages.

My teaching style is practical, patient, and adapted to the individual student. I understand that programming can initially feel confusing or intimidating, particularly when students are introduced to concepts such as loops, functions, conditionals, or algorithms for the first time. Instead of expecting students to memorise code, I focus on helping them understand what the code is doing, why it works, and how they can use the same ideas to solve new problems.

Lessons can include clear explanations, live coding, worked examples, exercises, debugging, problem-solving challenges, and small projects. I encourage students to actively write and experiment with code during lessons rather than simply watching me demonstrate it. I also adapt the pace of lessons depending on the student's experience, learning style, and goals.

I have experience working with younger students through volunteering at Durbar High School, one of Nepal’s leading government schools. This experience gave me an opportunity to work directly with students and taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and explaining concepts in a way that students can actually understand. It also strengthened my interest in teaching and helping younger learners develop their skills.

Academically, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Computing with Artificial Intelligence from Islington College, affiliated with London Metropolitan University. During my degree, I studied programming, data structures and algorithms, software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, applied data science, robotics and IoT, probability and statistics, and other areas of computing.

Beyond university, I have gained practical experience through software development and AI projects and through co-founding TechPaila Technology Private Limited. I have worked on real-world technology projects involving programming, web development, APIs, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and large language models.
