I am a second-year Medical student with over three years of tutoring experience across GCSE and A-level subjects. Having achieved top grades at GCSE and A-level myself, as well as receiving the UKMT Gold Award, I understand both the academic challenges students face and the strategies that lead to success.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether that involves strengthening core understanding, covering content systematically, or refining exam technique to maximise marks. Sessions are typically structured around reviewing key concepts, working through exam-style questions, and identifying areas that require further practice.
I place a strong emphasis on understanding how exam boards assess responses, helping students develop the skills needed to apply their knowledge effectively under exam conditions. Regular review and targeted practice ensure steady progress and build competence and confidence over time.
I encourage students to ask questions and actively engage with the material rather than simply memorising content, as this leads to stronger understanding and long-term retention. Depending on the student’s goals and learning style, lessons may include topic reviews, worked examples, timed questions, and discussion of common exam pitfalls. I also believe it's important to provide guidance on revision strategies, time management, and effective study habits outside of lessons to ensure that progress continues between sessions. My teaching style is patient, approachable, and supportive, creating an environment where students feel comfortable tackling challenging topics and building confidence in their abilities.
My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help students become more independent, confident learners.
