My lessons are clear, structured and supportive. I start by understanding exactly where you are and what you want to achieve — whether that’s mastering a tricky topic, improving exam technique, or building long-term confidence in Biology.
Each session typically begins with a short review of previous material, followed by focused teaching of new content. I break complex topics (such as cell signalling, immune responses, biochemical pathways or physiological systems) into logical, manageable steps. I use diagrams, simple analogies and real-life examples to make abstract ideas easier to understand and remember. We then practise applying the knowledge through exam-style questions, short discussions or problem-solving activities so you leave each lesson knowing how to use what you’ve learned.#
I adapt the pace and style to suit you. Some students prefer detailed explanations and step-by-step guidance; others want faster progress with more independent practice and feedback. I am patient, encouraging and happy to explain concepts in different ways until they click. I also place strong emphasis on exam technique — how to structure answers, interpret questions and avoid common mistakes.
I bring several years of teaching experience from UK higher education, including laboratory practical teaching, undergraduate and postgraduate immunology courses, and one-to-one academic support. My PhD and research background mean I can explain not only what happens in biological systems, but why it matters, which many students find especially helpful at A-Level and university level.
Whether you need help catching up, pushing for top grades, or preparing for university-level Biology, my aim is the same: clear explanations, steady progress, and growing confidence in every lesson.
