My lessons are friendly, patient and focused on helping students develop genuine understanding and confidence in Mathematics. I believe that students learn best when they understand why a method works rather than simply memorising formulas or procedures.

I usually begin by identifying the areas where a student needs the most support. I then structure the lesson around their individual needs, breaking difficult topics into smaller, manageable concepts. I use clear explanations, worked examples and guided practice before allowing students to attempt questions independently. I encourage students to explain their reasoning so that I can identify gaps in their understanding and address them effectively.

I adapt my teaching approach according to the student's age, ability and learning needs. For younger students, I focus on building strong foundations and making Mathematics approachable and engaging. For secondary and GCSE-level students, I focus on developing conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills and confidence with examination-style questions. For students preparing for examinations, I combine topic revision with practice questions, worked solutions and examination techniques.

I have over 9 years of teaching and tutoring experience, supporting learners from primary school through secondary school and university level. I have also worked professionally as a Mathematics Content Developer and Subject Matter Expert, creating and reviewing Mathematics questions, worked solutions and learning materials for 11+, IGCSE, SAT and other examinations.

I also have experience creating online Mathematics learning content. I have tutored students through Zoom and have created Mathematics video lessons by writing scripts, preparing presentation slides and presenting step-by-step explanations on camera.

My goal is for every student to leave a lesson with a clearer understanding of the topic, greater confidence in their mathematical ability and the skills to tackle similar problems independently. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning from them.
