My lessons as a foreign language teacher focus on engaging students in the material and examining their understanding of the concepts being studied. I always start by introducing the purpose of the topic so the students realize why it is important to learn it. To get students to connect to the the lesson and truly internalize it, I integrate media, like images, videos, songs, and other sensory materials into the lesson plan. I also let stories and anecdotes guide the lesson, as I believe this makes the material more interesting and memorable. Furthermore, I encourage students, especially by the end of the lesson, to feel ready to use the language to express themselves and be as autonomous as possible. To assess the students' progess, apart from the adopted exams, I also like to use creative assessments, such as games and presentations, that allow the students to showcase knowledge gained. Finally, I make sure to assess the students' understanding through regular tests. All these methods ensure that the students are able to grasp and retain the learned material.
