It in an honor to write a letter of my experience, I have been working to increase and improve parent/family and community involvement at International Academic School in Dubai ( ), including coordinating school events for parents, translating principal’s letters, and helping to solve some problems such as miscommunicating between parents and school. I then left my work because of Covid-19.
On the 27th of May, 2019, I published my illustrated Childrens’ book for 9 -11year olds at Dubai.
As an artist with a Fine Arts and Graphic Design specialty degree, I had one year of professional experience as an art teacher at Emirates National School in UAE Sharjah, where I taught year 2,3. I am an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about introducing students to a board of range of art media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. My aim is to ignite a love of art in my pupils by making highly enjoyable projects and adding digital media into my class, such as stop motion projects.
I exhibited my plaster painting at ENS school, and my work can be viewed at
Alongside some of my students’ projects and my fabric painting, watercolors, and acrylic painting.
I also organized workshops, and family art programs for the school gallery, in addition to my artistic and teaching experience, I hold an IB Professional Development certificate of attendance form International Baccalaureate Organization, which gave me more skills on how to connect other subjects with Art and one unit of inquiry considering the differentiation between my students.
In addition to this, I created three building contracting logos, and I designed companies’ business cards.
Since I moved to the UK on 19th of December 2022, I wanted to have teaching experience at Manchester, and so I had applied to work with many agencies.
My previous and current work with these agencies as a general cover and an art cover teacher had given me a strong understanding of effective course planning, evaluation of students, and teaching a wide range of age levels and abilities, and class management.
More recently, I completed a PGCE placement teaching Art at Levels 1 and 2, as well as GCSE Mathematics, at Pendleton Sixth Form College. This experience further strengthened my teaching practice and broadened my subject knowledge and classroom experience.
In addition to my teaching qualifications and experience, I hold: • GCSE English qualification. • Fashion and Textiles Level 2 qualification from Salford City College. • Fashion and Textiles Level 3 qualification from Salford City College.
Yours sincerely,
Shatha Anis.
