My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, ability and learning style. I have over four years of tutoring experience, teaching students from primary school through to GCSE and A-level in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, as well as English and Science at primary level.

I usually begin by identifying the topics or skills a student is finding most difficult, then structure lessons around building understanding and confidence in those areas. I explain concepts clearly and step by step, using examples before moving on to guided and independent questions. I also encourage students to explain their reasoning, as this helps me identify any gaps in understanding and ensures they are not simply memorising methods.

For exam students, lessons can include exam-style questions, past-paper practice and guidance on exam technique, including how to approach unfamiliar questions and how to structure answers effectively. I can also help students review schoolwork, prepare for upcoming tests or revisit topics they have previously struggled with.

I am patient and adaptable, and I am happy to adjust the pace and style of a lesson depending on the student. Some students benefit from detailed explanations and lots of guided practice, while others prefer to work more independently with support when needed.

My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gradually become more confident working independently.
