During over ten years of experience of scheduling, designing and delivering law and criminology courses, I have devised various ways in which to deliver course materials and assessment or examination preparations. I have, as a private tutor, devised tailored approaches and have managed to adapt this to group sessions to ensure that each student has the opportunity to understand the information being delivered in various ways, so they are able to find the method that works for them. During lockdown, methods of remote teaching that I had already worked on for many years were perfected so that now lessons are both engaging by being as interactive as possible as opposed to lots of text or talking.
Once each topic is completed, time is always taken to consolidate and ensure a student has a comprehensive understanding of the relevant information that must be retained and developed for examinations.
Course materials and lessons are a combination of various formats and involve engaging activities and pit-stops for progress tracking.
