Sharmi Gowri-Kriszyk

I used to work as teaching assistant in the past, and I have tutored students as young as 4-5 years old up to university students. I specialise in psychology, counselling, psychotherapy and mental health related topics.

I have additional needs and disabilities, including being neurodivergent. This means, I can relate to the struggles of students with additional needs, SEN and neurodivergence. I will take any additional needs into account when teaching.

If there is anything, I need to be extra mindful of, e.g. speaking slowly, repeating instructions, breaking instructions down into smaller chunks or giving you more time to process information, please just let me know. I will do my best to accommodate you with patience, compassion, empathy and with a non-judgemental approach.

I am also a psychologist, qualified senior psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. The latter involves supporting and guiding both student-therapists and qualified therapists. I have worked in mental health since 2005 and passionate about making a difference and helping people grow and make positive change.
