My lessons are relaxed, supportive and tailored to each student. I like to start by understanding what you want to achieve, what you already feel confident with and where you need a little more support.
I use a mixture of discussion, practical examples, questions, reflection and activities so lessons feel engaging rather than like a lecture. Depending on the subject and your goals, we might work through real-life scenarios, build your confidence with communication and emotional intelligence, explore different perspectives, or practise specific skills together.
I have a strong background in mental health and support work and have completed extensive training in areas including emotional wellbeing, crisis support, suicide awareness and trauma-informed practice. I bring this experience into my teaching with a calm, empathetic and non-judgemental approach.
Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. There is no pressure to be perfect — my role is to help you understand, build confidence and leave each lesson feeling that you’ve genuinely made progress.
