We begin with a discussion about the goals of the student, their previous science knowledge and why they are seeking a tutor. This guides my approach and how we will accomplish the goals.
I use an interactive format so students engage with the content and develop a better understanding. I expect students to engage and interact so we can work together to fill the gaps in their science knowledge! I often use platforms such as Nearpod, Gizmo and Quizizz to provide virtual practice for lab concepts and test review.
I have a Bachelor's degree in secondary science education with an emphasis in biology. I also hold a Master's degree in online education and have been teaching in the online environment for three years. I am fully equipped to help you get the knowledge you need for success. I have taught biology, AP Biology, chemistry, environmental science, AP Environmental, physical science, and anatomy.
