Hello! I'm Sharanyah, a Psychology graduate from the University of Warwick, and I teach GCSE and A-level students online.

I tutor Psychology and Economics up to A level, and Maths, English Language, English Literature, Geography, Latin and Religious Studies at GCSE.

A little about my own results, since it's fair to ask. At GCSE I achieved a grade 9 in Geography, grade 8s in Physics, Chemistry, English Language, English Literature, Latin and Religious Studies, and grade 7s in Maths and Biology. At A level I achieved A grades in Psychology and Economics, and I graduated from Warwick with a 2:1. I also hold a Distinction in Trinity College London Speech and Communication.

Before university I spent two years running weekly sessions for a group of around ten high-school students. That's where I learned the thing that still shapes how I teach: young people rarely say when they're lost. So I watch for it rather than waiting to be told.

As for lessons themselves, we start by working out where your understanding actually stops, which is usually a little earlier than the topic you came to me with. Once that's filled in, the rest feels far less daunting. From there, you'll do the thinking rather than watch me do it. I'll explain something, then hand it back and work through a question alongside you, because seeing where the reasoning goes off track tells me much more than asking whether it made sense. For essay subjects, we'll plan answers against the mark scheme until you can see exactly what examiners reward.
You can ask me anything, however basic it feels. I'll never make you feel behind, I'll tell you gently when something isn't landing yet, and you'll finish every session knowing exactly what to work on next.
