I am a Y13 student doing my A-Levels in Further Maths, Maths and Economics. My strong background in Maths is evident through my A* grade achieved in GCSE Maths. I do understand the perspective of a student - as I am one myself!! I highlight the importance of consistently turning your weaknesses into strengths which makes you a better Mathematician overall. My lessons would be online, I would mirror my screen and go through a past paper with a student. Once I receive their answers, I would then go through questions they go wrong and send them a past paper question to do at their own time outside of the lesson. I wouldn’t just stick with the questions that award the highest marks; targeting the 1/2 mark questions is what makes the difference between a B grade student and an A/A* student.
