Hi there, I’m Shania, a final year medical student having just finished my medical school finals and looking for some part time work tutoring and helping younger students and children. I attained 7A*, 1 A and 2 9s at GCSEs, A*A*AA at A level in Biology, Latin, Chemistry and Maths and several academic prizes over my school years, having also competed in various Maths and Biology olympiads and competitions. I have been in medical school for the last 5 years and have gained in depth knowledge of human biology as a result. Hence why I am looking forward to helping younger students with human biology at GCSE and maths.

Teaching style: I will ideally not be setting any additional work on top of current workload that students experience as I found this was challenging and not useful during my years as a student receiving tuition on top of schoolwork, but instead found it very helpful to have a tutor who I could go to with difficult questions from their current work to help figure out the answers together. I will tailor my teaching style according to each student but overall I will be grateful if students come to the sessions with queries and questions they would like help on from schoolwork or past papers etc. If parents or students would like extra work set I have no issue doing that if preferred! I will run 1-2 hour sessions at a time and as many times a week as students or parents would want.
