Hello! My name is Shaneia but you can call me Shan. I’m an English tutor dedicated to helping beginner-level students feel confident speaking English.

Making mistakes is a normal and an important part of learning any new language. In my lessons, I try to always create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear or pressure. My goal is to build your confidence!!!

I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit you!!! I want to get to know all of my students, how they best learn and what motives them.

My lessons are interactive and engaging, often using media, music, and real-life conversation to make learning enjoyable and practical. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your speaking skills, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

Example of Lesson plan for beginners :

Objective
By the end of the lesson, the student will be able to:
Introduce themselves
Ask and answer simple questions (name, country, feelings)
Use basic greetings confidently

1) introduction to vocabulary
2) speaking practice/ roleplay
3) listening activity
4) review lesson objectives
5) Homework tasks to be reviewed in the next session

This is a small example of a beginner lesson. However depending on the individual that I will be teaching, this can vary. I’m all for suggestions as well. If there is anything in particular that the student wants to learn I will happily adapt my lesson plan to accommodate them. Team work is key.
