Ruben Vazquez

I am a qualified and experienced educator with UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Cambridge CELTA certification and a Master's degree in Teacher Training (UK ENIC Level 7 equivalent). Apart from that, I hold a Master's of Arts in Theoretical and Practical Philosophy and my a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy.

I have taught multilingual learners in the UK and Spain in both language schools and secondary education. I offer support in English language, Spanish, Philosophy and Religious Education, helping students improve their communication skills, prepare for exams and develop confidence in their learning.

I am a both Spanish and Galician learning speaker, with experience teaching Spanish Language and Literature in Spanish Secondary School settings. I also speak Portuguese. All this has made me able to understand first hand the process of language learning and all its steps and difficulties. This is something that makes me more empathetic to the students since I have been through their same process once.

My teaching style is supportive, engaging and adapted to each student's needs. I use discussion, critical thinking and practical activities to make lessons meaningful and enjoyable, while helping learners achieve their academic and personal goals. My approach is dynamic and students are always at the centre. They are always encouraged to try and make mistakes.

My lessons are usually question-oriented and I always try to get my students to give reasons to support their points of view, because that is the place where, not just language, but learning in general, is built.
