Shailja Baphna

Hello! I’m Shailja, a passionate Maths (KS1, KS2, KS3), English (KS1, KS2), Science (KS1, KS2) tutor based in London, offering personalized lessons for primary and secondary students (KS1, KS2, KS3).

I have 4 years of experience tutoring children from many different backgrounds, including supporting my own children through the UK curriculum and 11+ preparation & as a volunteer in local primary schools, which has helped me adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s needs. My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored, combining explanations, practical examples, quizzes, and regular feedback to build confidence and understanding.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and certifications in Counselling Skills and Mental Health Awareness, allowing me to communicate empathetically and create a supportive learning environment. Lessons can be delivered online or in person, and I focus on helping students enjoy learning while achieving their academic goals.
