I’m a dedicated, approachable, and passionate tutor with over three years of experience teaching GCSE and A-level Biology, Chemistry, and Physics — both in person and online. I also have several years of experience tutoring students for the 11+ grammar school entrance exams, having successfully gained entry to one myself. I understand first hand the pressures and challenges students face, and I work hard to support them in preparing for their exams.

At GCSE, I achieved A*s in all my subjects and went on to study Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at A-level. I’m now a medical student, where I continue to deepen my understanding of science and apply it in a real-world context. Teaching has always been something I truly enjoy — not just for the academic side, but for the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a student’s journey.

Over the years, the vast majority of my students have improved by at least two grades, and many have exceeded their own expectations in both school assessments and final exams. I attribute this success to my student-centred approach: I take the time to understand each student’s unique learning style, identify their weak areas, and build structured, engaging lessons around them.

My lessons are focused, friendly, and encouraging, where my students are always open to ask questions. I explain complex topics in a way that’s easy to understand, break down common misconceptions, and reinforce learning through targeted practice questions. I also help students build their exam technique, revision strategies, and confidence, which I have learnt are just as important as subject knowledge through first hand experience.

Alongside working through the school curriculum, I love encouraging students to think more deeply about the subject and make connections beyond the textbook. I believe this not only helps with exam performance but also fosters a genuine curiosity and love for learning — something that’s invaluable in future studies, whether at A-level, university, or apprenticeships.
