My Teaching Philosophy

In time I realized that not only regular people doesn’t know English in Turkey, but also academics who are supposed to be teaching students aren’t entirely able to grasp the meaning of knowing a whole other language. In my opinion, the world’s always changing and to able to keep up with this change and become better versions of ourselves, we must work hard and while doing so, inspire those around us especially our students to move forward.

This is why I teach English. I always say “world is too small for us” to my students. Learning a new language can lead to finding a new job, a new set of friends and a totally different environment outside of our comfort zone. It’s like opening a portal to a whole new world and I want to encourage my students to step inside.

At the moment, I am mainly teaching English to adults as a second language. My short-term teaching objective is to equip my students with the vocabulary they need in everyday life conversations, expressions which will make their lives easier, and grammar to enable them to communicate effectively with people from all around the world. On the other hand, my long-term objective is to help my students develop an enthusiasm for exploring a new language which leads to discovering new cultures, abilities, etc. I’m certain with the right guidance, we can achieve many things beyond our expectations from ourselves.
