Hi, I'm Seth!
I'm a final year computer science university student, currently finishing off a degree at Newcastle University. I've just completed a year in industry as a gameplay and tools programmer for a high-profile xbox game. I also have past professional experience programming a console app in Javascript to translate and forward data over the internet.
I received a grade of 92% for my first year at university and 85% for my second year, so I'm on track to receive a high first for my degree. I also received an A in computer science at A-Level, an A* in Maths and an A in Physics.
In terms of programming languages, I have professional experience with C++, C# and Javascript, but I am also proficient with the following languages: Java, Python and C. I specialise in video games but I have a very solid knowledge base in traditional computer science.
Unlike a lot of computer science tutors - I'm great with people :) so I'd love to get to know you and figure out what methods help you learn most effectively. My lesson plans will be tailored to your needs and experience. I'm also happy to just help students work through assignments or answer tricky questions.
Whether you need help with theory like data structures and algorithms or more practical support with programming, I'm confident I can help you out and teach you something new. Get into contact with me to let me know what you'd like to get out of our sessions.
I hope to hear from you soon :)
