- Next, I will get the contents and mark schemes of the subject, in this case French. This will be useful to know so that we won’t waste time in learning things that aren’t necessary for the exam.
- I believe in the art of visuals so I will include a lot of mind maps, animation and color-coding during the learning process. I also don’t want to generalise as other students learn better with other methods such as hearing. I will ask them and based on that, I will adjust my teaching methods.
- Every ten minutes, the student will have 2-3 minutes break and afterward a mini-test to test understanding. Afterward, I will repeat the process until it is the end of the lesson.
- At the end of the lesson, I will ask the student to rate the content and level of difficulty between 1-3. 1 being easy, 2 being moderate and 3 being hard. Based on that information, we will review the hard topic way more often than the easy topics. If I was to be involved with a student who may have an exam. I will make sure that 2 months before the exam that we go through exam questions because at the end of the day, students are getting tested on how well they use their understanding to answer questions.
