My lessons are personalised to my student and with a range of activities for speaking, listening, grammar, witting and reading. I create varied lessons that are designed especially for my student goals and needs. In my first lesson I ask questions to get to know my student so I can create the best learning environment for them in my lessons. My aim is to provide a teaching experience that is engaging, fun, helpful, creative, educational and individual to the student. This is why the first lesson is really important to get to know my student.
I include in each lesson lots of activities for practicing conversations and speaking. The role of a teacher is to guide and facilitate a lesson and the student will be doing most of the talking as, this will improve their language skills faster. Some examples of speaking activities include role plays, story telling, debates, conversations about a particular topic and job interview practice.
If you need help with job applications, interviews, curriculum vitae and cover letters I have lessons designed just for jobs. I like to use real life scenarios in my lessons and will ask questions about what you wish to achieve in life. For instance, what is your ideal job? If you wish we will create some cover letters for jobs that you are applying for together. These cover letters will be for the jobs you wish to apply too.
English grammar can be very challenging for new students and I have a range of different activities to improve this area. In my lessons I do my best to include games to make this fun. During my lessons there is a lot of encouragement, feedback, error correction and a review at the end of each lesson. I also provide homework at the end of each lesson so, what is taught is reinforced in memory and the student continue to practice outside of the lessons.
I am adaptable and welcome any requests to learn English as a Foreign language. Please feel free to ask any questions.
