The most important part at my lectures, is describing missing/ misunderstood concepts after learning the what my students need. According to the content and student’s feedback, I detect the teaching way. Such as, modeling, solving problems, giving examples in real life, watching videos etc. At the end of the lesson, understanding the chapter and overcoming misunderstood concepts is my main goal meaningful learning.
In order to understand the subject and love the lesson, the student must first be willing. Then, together, we identify what they missing topic(s) and determine our way of learning. My lessons are fun and useful.
To briefly describe my experiences, I did my internship at two of the best high schools in Turkey (Cagaloglu and Besiktas Ataturk Anatolian High schools). I taught high school chemistry and mathematics. Apart from this, I have been giving private lessons to students at different levels for about 3 years. Math, geo, physics, chem and bio are the areas I teach. In needed, I help in Turkish lessons before the exam.
During my internship, I used modeling to explain abstract concepts (ionic bonds/enthalpy or etc.) that are not understood easily in chemistry. I found and watched related content, I used Ozobot( explain detailed if you want). In other lessons, I organized competitions to make the lesson fun. I generally use a student-centered teaching method.
Of course, I had lessons that I had a hard time understanding and couldn't make sense of the concept. but now I know how to get through all this.
I’m excited to see you
