Hi, I believe that students should input as much as I do, and that a perfect session balances my teachings and their learning in such a way to maintain engagement. I will let my students know when they make a mistake, but it is ultimately their duty to find it, albeit with guidance where necessary. Furthermore, I hope to make a warm environment without judgement and the acceptance that mistakes are inevitable, both from me and my student. In order to help progression, I will track strengths and weaknesses of each student and use adapt to this accordingly. We shall run through explanations and practice questions as I believe they are the most effective method for improvement. In addition, I can also recommend what each student should do outside of lesson to help with their growth, while this will be entirely optional as I understand the weight and connotations that come with extra work, even if it is for their benefit.

I love to teach, having helped younger years in Maths in the morning many times at my old school and I am currently on the waiting list for a role at Explore Learning. I myself have a younger brother, so I understand to a deep extent what its like to talk to and interact with students at that age. In conclusion, I sincerely hope that we can have fun in my sessions as well as walking away with a new understanding, no matter how long it takes as every student is different.
