I am a science graduate with an MSc in Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Leicester and a BSc in Microbiology. I have been working in education for several years across a range of settings, from supporting students with special educational needs in Leicester to founding and running my own online tutoring institution with 50 students. I have also led a team of teachers delivering curriculum to over 300 students, so I know how to explain things clearly and adapt to different levels of understanding.
My lessons are led by the student. I start by finding out what you already know, where the gaps are and what your goal is, whether that is passing an exam, keeping up with your class or getting ahead. From there, I plan sessions around what you actually need rather than working through a generic list of topics.
I am patient, and I do not move on until something makes sense. If one explanation is not working, I will try another approach. I use a mix of visual aids, worked examples, practice questions and discussion depending on what suits you best. I am also happy to look at past papers and exam technique, which can make a big difference to results, even when the content knowledge is already there.
All lessons are online, which means you can book a session from wherever you are without any travel or scheduling hassle. I am fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi, so I can also support students who are more comfortable learning in another language.
