I am a patient, resilient, determined, sharp, ambitious and hardworking recent Mathematics graduate. I have tutored a mixture of students for 50+ hours over 2 years, I have helped my students earn good grades.
As I have earned university offers from King’s College London, Queen Mary University of London and Royal Holloway University of London, I understand what is required in the university application process to help students earn top university offers, and I would be more than happy to help with this.
I had a student who had low confidence and found A level Maths extremely challenging and who kept earning low grades, I tutored him and he earned an A in AS Maths. His confidence also increased and he was happy.
I would tailor the classes to match my student’s needs, I would give them study hacks and memorisation techniques which actually work.
I would usually teach the content and my student would ask questions on anything they don’t understand, I can communicate concepts to help any student understand the concepts they find difficult, as I understand GCSE and A level concepts very well. Then we would cover exam questions and I would challenge students. I would provide the option of me completing the questions alongside them, providing stellar exam advice or if my student is comfortable attempting the questions on their own, I would do this as well.
Of course, if my student wants me to teach them differently, I would be able to support them and more than happy to match my classes to what my student needs.
As I am a recent Mathematics graduate, I understand the struggles related to studying and applying to university as I’ve experienced the ups and downs students experience. I have also been tutored during my GCSEs and A levels and as a result of this I understand what students want, not just when it comes to academia but also the kind of personality and friendliness they want in a tutor.
