About My Lessons!

My name is Sarah, and I am a University of Cambridge English graduate with several years of teaching experience in the UK and internationally. I’ve worked with students aged 11 through to university level, helping them improve their essay writing, critical thinking, and overall confidence in English and other essay-based subjects.

My lessons are fully tailored to each student: whether you’re preparing for exams, working on coursework, or just looking to strengthen your writing and analysis skills. Sessions often include essay planning, quick fire practice, and detailed feedback on written work, with practical strategies for improving clarity and argumentation.

Across all my teaching, I create a supportive, engaging space where students feel encouraged to ask questions and develop their own voice. My specialism lies in essay-based subjects such as English Literature, History, Drama, and Classics, as well as extended coursework and dissertation projects.

In addition to academic tutoring, I offer beginner to intermediate piano lessons for children and young learners. With almost a decade of experience as a self-employed piano teacher, I aim to make lessons creative and enjoyable, focusing on developing confidence and foundational technique.
