Sarah Cowie

I am a kind and thoughtful tutor with experience teaching English to children, teenagers, and adults. I have taught English in community settings with refugees and asylum seekers, in schools with ages 6-16, and as a one-to-one tutor with preschool children.
The content of my lessons can range from in-depth grammar exercises to conversation practice to vocabulary and idiom building. Our lessons will be shaped by you: what you want to learn, what you need to practice. As I get to know you, I will tailor our lessons to focus on the points you find the most challenging.
My lessons are varied and dynamic, and we will do a range of different interactive activities. I encourage students to talk and ask questions without fear of judgement. We all learn differently, and we will progress at the right pace for you.
